Summer and Boubles

40°C in the hut (in places)! And even that can be lovely if you’ve got a way to cool down. At least three times an hour I’ve popped under the hose shower to scald myself with the almost boiling-hot water that the sun has already heated up in the hose again. Most of the plants are doing well! Admittedly, I haven’t posted an update for ages. But see for yourself! The sweetcorn is almost unrecognisable and bearing a splendid crop, the tomatoes are flowering and the potatoes are ready for harvesting. I’ve even created a new bed with carrots and peas. And it’s looking really good!

And I’ve been gathering material for my new piece, Boubles. It’s dedicated to my dear mother. And when she hears it in heaven, she’ll smile and say: „Yes, Tom, that’s exactly what Boubles is!“

40°C in der Hütte (teilweise)! Und auch das kann schön sein, wenn man eine Möglichkeit zum runterkühlen hat. Mindestens drei mal pro Stunde bin ich unter die Schlauchdusche gehopst um mich am fast kochend heißen Wasser zu verbrennen, das die Sonne im Schlauch schon wieder erwärmt hat. Den meisten Pflanzen geht es gut! Zugegeben, ich habe lange kein Update von mir gegeben. Aber sieh' selbst! Der Mais ist fast nicht wiederzuerkennen und trägt prächtig, die Tomaten blühen und die Kartoffeln sind erntereif. Ein neues Beet mit Möhren und Erbsen ist noch entstanden. Und es ist richtig gut!

Und ich habe Material für mein neus Stück Boubles gesammelt. Es ist meiner lieben Mutter gewidmet. Und wenn sie es im Himmel hört, dann wird sie lächeln und sagen: „Ja Tom, genau das ist Boubles!“.
